I've done several portraits of my teenage crushes, and this would be one of those. It was painted from a photo taken in the early 70's of Cory Wells of Three Dog Night, and I was 14 then! My parents gave me headphones for my stereo, probably so they didn't have to hear my music all night, and I would lay on my bed and listen to Three Dog Night for hours. He had the best bluesy voice!
